LPUMS GATE/Tech Language Arts Classes

This assignment is in two parts. The first should have been done as homework or completed by today, Friday Oct. 24. The second part should be completed over the weekend as homework.
Part One — Create your online survey
1) Log in to your Gmail account.
2) Go to “Documents” and under “New” create a form.
3) In the form, write 3, multiple-choice questions.
4) Email the form to juvycarino@gmail.com.

Part Two — Embed your survey onto your blog
5) Copy the html from the form by selecting “Embed form.”
6) Log in to your blog.
7) Paste the html code into a new post, add a title.
8 ) Publish your post.

For those absent in the past few days, the previous blog assignment was to type Journal Entry #3 (about your favorite birthday) onto a new post.

Students will create a slideshow presentation about the different parts of Luis P. Untalan Middle School using Googledocs.  Each student will be part of a group. The Beginning students only need to have pictures and titles on their slideshow.  The Intermediate students must include one detail about their subject.  The Advanced students must conduct interviews of at least 3 teachers from each team, one elective and one administrator.  Project is due on Thursday, Oct. 16.

Beginners
1)  Take pictures of different parts of the campus for a campus tour. 1st Period students are taking pictures of the front parts of the school (entrance, cafeteria, Business Office, Main Office, PFC, Library), 5th period the middle parts (Volleyball court, Gym, two courtyards, Pupil Personnel Office, Teacher’s Lounge), and 8th period the back (Counseling Office, different elective rooms, restrooms, soccer field, T-buildings and fast-track buildings).

Intermediate
1)  Take pictures of at least 5 people that make up our school community. 1st period: counselors, nurse, computer operator; 5th period: school aides, one-to-one aides; 8th period:  clerks, janitors, cafeteria workers, librarian, social workers, coordinator

2)  Describe what these people do on campus.

Advanced 
1)  Take pictures of at least 5 teachers and 1 administrator.
2)  Interview one teacher from each team, one elective teacher and one administrator per group. Include a quote about being a teacher at Untalan.

1) Type 2 paragraphs about yourself in a new post.

2)  Type Journal Entry #2 in a new post. Provide a link to your classmate’s blog.

3)  Advanced: Create a post about a photo that you like (Where you found it, why you like it). Insert the picture by going to “Add media” in the Write Post page and inserting the url of the photo. Then do a photo credit with a link to the url of the webpage.
