Students and Parents,

The Administration of LPUMS have reorganized the schedule to align DI classes into 1st and 2nd periods as well as align team meetings for teachers for better collegial sharing. What this means is that student schedules may have been affected. GATE/Technology Language Arts classes were originally 1st, 7th and 8th periods. Now they are held during 1st, 5th, and 8th periods. Nine students currently have not been scheduled for GATE/Technology class due to conflicts in their schedule. I will work with the counseling office in order to correct this problem.

The schedule change for some students also means that re-organization of the GATE/Tech classes by level has been put on hold. Last week, students were given their scores for the Language Arts and the Technology Skills Assessments as well as their recommended level for the class (Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced). The administration has recommended that additional schedule changes be on hold until all student schedule changes have stabilized. More information will be provided at a later time.

Thank you for your patience,

Mrs. Carino
